World Resources Institute, Water Quality Targeting Success Stories

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service supports farmers and ranchers through conservation programs designed to improve environmental outcomes while sustaining agricultural operations. Water Quality Targeting Success Stories examines how targeted watershed projects can more effectively improve water quality, and better measure and communicate those outcomes through real-world case studies and analysis.

Developed within WRI’s established report system, this co-branded publication for American Farmland Trust balanced a structured typographic hierarchy, bold WRI color palettes, and proprietary infographics with a more regionally grounded visual tone. Art direction included sourcing and curating supplemental imagery, guiding visual cohesion across authored and external assets, and supporting the development of custom infographic content—including a large-scale illustrative graphic used to communicate complex watershed relationships and conservation impacts.
