Grace Episcopal Day School
Grace Episcopal Day School, a private pre-K through fifth grade institution, set an ambitious goal to expand into middle school grades ahead of its 50th anniversary. Recognizing that traditional fundraising approaches wouldn't generate the momentum needed, Grace's Board of Directors launched a capital campaign called Bold Vision to rally alumni, families, and supporters around the school's future.
The Bold Vision identity was designed to reflect the school's Episcopal foundation, engaged alumni community, and aspirations for growth. Inspired by the stained glass windows characteristic of Episcopal architecture, the mark depicted two mature trees framing a rising sun over a hilltop landscape—symbolizing stability, continuity, and a new chapter for the school. The campaign succeeded, and the identity became a central visual element of fundraising efforts that helped launch Grace's middle school program in time for the school's 50th anniversary.
That anniversary also called for its own mark. The 50th anniversary logo anchored a redesign of Grace News, the school's quarterly newsletter, which was so well received it led to redesigns of several additional institutional publications.
