National Disaster Medical System Training Summit

The National Disaster Medical System Training Summit is no small undertaking. In 2022, more than 1,400 federal emergency responders gathered in Indianapolis for four days of intensive training across 11 specialty tracks, 89 sessions, and dozens of hands-on skill stations. Every visual element those attendees encountered—from the moment they checked in to the moment they departed—was designed by one person.

Working as part of a government event management team, the full scope of deliverables included the annual after action report, name badges, wayfinding and directional signage, room and session signage, onsite support signage, splash pages, digital kiosk graphics, and a full suite of printed agenda signage. The latter was a particular feat given that session times, rooms, and instructors continued shifting up until the day of printing. Digital signage carried the visual system across screens throughout the convention center.

The 2022 summit was part of a recurring engagement, with Aria Creative returning to support subsequent training events.
